Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Patient Care Tech to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Certified Patient Care Tech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in coordination with licensed medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report all patient concerns/changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
  • Record vital signs, assist with personal hygiene, and other patient comfort measures.
  • Assist in specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment to prevent and control infections and ensure patient, visitor, and employee safety.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
  • Current WV Certified Nursing Assistant Certification or completion of hospital-based certification program.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior patient care experience.
