Key Responsibilities- Assist the Director of Facilities with all building maintenance and housekeeping staff functions.
- Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support the achievement of company goals.
- Organize and direct the functions of the building maintenance and housekeeping staff.
- Provide courteous and rapid service to members and guests.
- Maintain open lines of communication with the Director of Resort Operations.
- Provide superior quality standards for building maintenance and housekeeping service to meet the requirements of members and guests.
- Assist with the management of purchase order programs, department checkbooks, invoices, contribution reports, and budgets.
- Respond to phone calls and correspondence.
- Maintain building inventories and supplies.
- Assist with obtaining competitive bids on project pricing.
- Coordinate appointments with contractors and outside vendors.
- Support employee hiring, training, and employee review and development.
- Understand association rules, regulations, and safety practices to assure compliance.
- Act as Manager of Duty when the Director of Facilities Maintenance is not on site.
- Must be highly customer-oriented and responsive with a high need for closure.
- Able to work under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments.
- Strong team-building skills, including the ability to lead, cooperate, and motivate.

- High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
- One year supervisory experience in a related field preferred.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
- Current First Aid or other safety certifications, as required by the Club.
- Computer literate with experience with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of painting, HVAC systems, pool equipment, and landscape maintenance and irrigation repairs preferred.
- Ability to read building drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Must have planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, communication, time management, supervisory, and employee development skills.
- Must have excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative with an ability to think, work, and make independent decisions based on sound judgment.
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.
- This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, and regularly changing hours for shifts.
- Overtime may be possible during the busy season.
- Valid driver's license is required.
This position operates in both an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to weather conditions, and occasionally native wildlife, when outdoors on the facility grounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see and hear, speak clearly and understand the speech of another person, sit, stand and walk (occasionally for an extended period), use hands to fingers, handle or feel, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Employees are required to wear all assigned personal protective equipment.
