Job Title: Wireless Network Engineer

ValidaTek is seeking a highly skilled Wireless Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced wireless network solutions for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust wireless network solutions that meet the specific needs of the DHS program, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless network systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement and enforce wireless security protocols and best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with DHS security standards.
  • Configure and upgrade wireless network hardware and software to meet evolving requirements and improve network capabilities.
  • Provide detailed documentation for network configurations, changes, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, DHS personnel, and external vendors to support integration efforts, resolve technical issues, and enhance network infrastructure.
  • Ensure all network activities adhere to DHS regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Provide training and support to DHS staff on wireless network usage, security practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in wireless network engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex wireless networks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Must be able to pass the DHS law enforcement background check.
Salary:

The salary range for this position is $58,184.00 - $96,973.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
