Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Richmond Personal Injury Team at Geoff McDonald & Associates. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in our cases and work closely with our attorneys and clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional client communication and service
  • Conducting investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and collecting documents
  • Submitting FOIA requests and collecting medical and billing records
  • Reviewing medical records and bills, and logging them to our case management system
  • Working with our attorney to ensure clients receive proper and consistent medical care
  • Collecting information on lost wages and income
  • Communicating with adjusters, opposing counsel, court personnel, medical providers, experts, and vendors
  • Participating in weekly team meetings and conducting monthly file reviews with the assigned attorney
  • Performing legal research using Lexis and other platforms
  • Drafting pleadings, including Complaints, Notices, Motions, Discovery Responses, and Requests
  • Scheduling Hearings, Mediations, Judicial Settlement Conferences, and Jury Trials
  • Managing Electronic Case Files, including Document Productions in our case management system
  • Preparing for and attending Trial, and tracking deadlines
  • Preparing Attorneys for hearings, depositions, and trial

We are looking for a kind, professional, dedicated, and well-organized individual who can successfully handle multiple deadlines at once. You must have compassion, empathy, and a servant's heart to provide exceptional service to our clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat is required, and experience using legal case management software is necessary.
