Ultrasound Technologist

Job Summary:
UCLA Health is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound exams, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and evaluate patient information, medical records, and referring physician orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
- Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology, producing high-quality diagnostic images.
- Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions to meet the needs of patients and families served.
- Extend courtesy to patients, family members, visitors, and coworkers through our 'World Class Practices' Service Standards.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of acute care (hospital) experience.
- RDMS credential in one specialty (Abdomen or OBGYN).
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, staff, and others in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to accept and carry out oral and written instructions accurately.
- Ability to employ independent decision making, prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks to completion within allotted time.
- Ability to show attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Basic typing skills to input various data into RIS and HIS Information systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program.
- AAS or higher in Medical Sonography.
- RDMS (AB or OBGYN) - minimum requirement.
