We are seeking a qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach courses in Aviation at Truckee Meadows Community College. As a Part-Time Faculty member, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to the college's mission of providing high-quality education.

About the Position

This is an on-going pool of qualified individuals interested in part-time, temporary non-tenure track instructional opportunities at Truckee Meadows Community College. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses, including AV110 and AV210, and will be responsible for assessing student learning, staying current in their teaching field, and maintaining appropriate standards of ethics and professional conduct.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in Aviation, including AV110 and AV210
  • Assess student learning and stay current in their teaching field
  • Maintain appropriate standards of ethics and professional conduct
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a degree and certifications as required by the college. The desire to work in a diverse academic environment with students, faculty, and staff from many different backgrounds is also essential.

Benefits

Part-Time Faculty members at Truckee Meadows Community College are paid $1010 per credit to teach 100- and 200-level courses, and $1,100 per credit to teach 300- and 400-level courses. Additionally, they are eligible for paid Orientation, paid professional development training, tuition reimbursement through Grant-in-Aid, and longevity payments based on years of service.
