The Opportunity
This role is situated within our Core Lab Division. Our diagnostic solutions play a crucial role in patient care decision-making across various health conditions.

The Systems Integration Engineer is tasked with unifying component subsystems into a cohesive system, ensuring seamless functionality among hardware, software, and assays. This role guarantees comprehensive traceability of product performance and functionality requirements. Collaboration with Systems Engineers is essential to assess system performance, identify potential impacts, and strategize integration testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, execute, and review technical protocols and data packages related to system verification and characterization.
  • Utilize hands-on expertise in software and instrument development to troubleshoot complex systems, including robotic liquid handling and automated assay protocols.
  • Lead or participate in design reviews and test planning to evaluate performance against specifications.
  • Formulate test plans and methods that align with user needs and system requirements.
  • Analyze data using quantitative methods, draw conclusions, and recommend improvements.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements, providing project estimates and leading deliverables.
  • Independently resolve multiple issues, conducting investigations at the system level.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system performance meets customer expectations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or a closely related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience in executing integration test plans for complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to lead project activities and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Hands-on experience with diagnostic medical equipment in laboratory settings.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with scripting or coding languages.
  • Knowledge of software testing strategies and methodologies.
  • Experience in statistical data analysis.
