We are in search of dedicated, energetic, and driven individuals to become part of our Fry Team. This role involves hands-on training to master the operations of a printing press.

Key Responsibilities

The primary functions of the Press Department include managing all printed materials. Responsibilities encompass:

  • Bundling, skidding, and tagging all quality copies.
  • Weighing defective copies and executing tasks as outlined in daily job assignments.
  • Assisting press crews as required.
  • Coordinating production schedules with the Pressman.
  • Setting up and operating the stacker for production runs.
  • Establishing trim boxes and scales for each run.
  • Maintaining paper segregation by type and tagging trim boxes per established protocols.
  • Assisting in job setups and continuously inspecting signatures for defects.
  • Performing weekly maintenance tasks, including washing blankets, rollers, and ink fountains.
  • Keeping the workspace organized and clean.
  • Assisting the Roll Tender in webbing up the press.
  • At the end of each shift, emptying oil pans, disposing of trash, and refilling solvent cans.

The role typically involves working twelve-hour shifts, during which standing or walking will occupy over ninety percent of the time. The position requires working in close proximity to operational machinery and exposure to noise levels that necessitate protective hearing equipment.
