Assistant Professor of History, Philosophy, Political Science, or Sociology

Purdue University's College of Liberal Arts invites applications for multiple tenure-track assistant professorships in areas related to the history, foundations, and regulation of business sector and market institutions.
The successful candidate will contribute to the intellectual life of their department, with potential areas of specialization including political institutions, political economy, political philosophy, philosophy of social science, socio-legal studies, economic history, or business history.
Key Responsibilities:
These positions include teaching and curriculum design in Purdue's innovative Cornerstone Integrated Liberal Arts Program, which educates students across the university. Faculty will work to advance the Cornerstone for Business Certificate Program and teach in a two-course sequence in transformative texts, emphasizing works in political economy, political philosophy, political science, and related foundational works.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in History, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, or a closely related field by the time of appointment. They should have a specialization in a field relevant to Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and a record of publishing high-quality interdisciplinary research on PPE-relevant topics.
