Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Soliant. As an SLP in a school-based setting, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating students with speech and language disorders to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' speech and language abilities and develop individualized therapy plans to address their unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, progress, and student outcomes to inform future treatment plans.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' needs and progress to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology to provide high-quality services.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Connecticut.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced school environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
