As a Mortgage Loan Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing mortgage applications from initial submission through closing. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining detailed records, and providing excellent customer service throughout the loan process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loan Processing: Review, analyze, and verify loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with FHA, VA, and Conventional loan guidelines.
  • Documentation: Gather and review all necessary documentation from borrowers, including credit reports, income verification, and property appraisals.
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for borrowers, lenders, and other stakeholders throughout the loan process. Provide updates and address any questions or concerns.
  • Underwriting Support: Prepare loan files for underwriting, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and accurate.
  • Closing Preparation: Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and other parties to ensure timely and accurate preparation of closing documents.
  • Compliance: Ensure all loan files meet company, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Stay updated on changes to regulations and guidelines.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the processing and closing stages of the loan.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records of all loan files and related documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage processing and closing, with a strong understanding of FHA, VA, and Conventional loan products.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in mortgage processing software and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Encompass or other mortgage management systems is a plus.
