Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia.

Job Summary:

The Computed Tomography Technologist will administer sound patient care practices, ensuring patient safety and efficient departmental operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of IVs, heparin locks, and central line usage, as well as radiation protection and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer computed tomography procedures, ensuring accurate patient identification and tracking.
  • Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
  • Provide clinical services according to radiology practice standards, acting as a resource to radiography students and other technologists.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings.
  • Demonstrate effective use of radiation protection with collimation devices and protective shielding.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • CT Certification within one year of acceptance.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist within 12 months.
