Position Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician

Department: Manufacturing

Role Summary
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly of mechanical components, including but not limited to operating cylinders, control cases, transmissions, and specialized tools, in accordance with established specifications. The role involves a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the efficient assembly of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manually or with the aid of equipment, transport designated components from storage to the assembly area.
  • Interpret technical documents such as blueprints and schematics to ascertain tooling needs, setup procedures, and machining methods.
  • Apply lubricants to moving parts and assemble components on a workbench, adhering to technical drawings.
  • Prepare and set up all necessary tools for assembly operations.
  • Manually operate machinery to perform functions when automated systems are not operational.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness of machinery, tools, and work areas.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Assemble components using fasteners such as bolts and rivets.
  • Utilize hydraulic equipment to install bearings and secure components.
  • Connect electrical wiring to subassemblies.
  • Organize and store completed subassemblies appropriately.
