The Iowa Primary Care Association is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Family Medicine to become part of an outpatient community health facility.
About the Health Center:
This center is a vital part of comprehensive primary care, acting as an essential resource for underserved populations. It combines medical, dental, and behavioral health services to guarantee that all patients receive coordinated and holistic care under one roof.
Position Overview:
Clinic Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8 AM - 7 PM; Friday: 8 AM - 5 PM; Saturday: 8 AM - 12 PM; specific scheduling will be discussed during the interview.
Call Schedule:
Light call, rotated weekly among providers.
Patient Load:
8-16 patients per day.
Appointment Duration:
20-minute time slots.
Team Composition:
1 MD, 3 PAs, 4.2 NPs, 0.5 RNs, and 1.5 MAs.
EHR System:
Epic.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications:
- Current advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licenses in Iowa.
- Successful completion of a certification examination by the American Nursing Association, with ongoing maintenance of certification through continuing education and work experience.
- Current Federal DEA and Iowa CSA registrations in good standing.
