Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Medline Industries. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on assigned equipment, including conveyors, automation, and robotics systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner, escalating complex problems to senior technicians or leadership as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and equipment operating logs.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior maintenance personnel to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Project Work: Assist with facility and building projects, including repairs, renovations, and maintenance tasks.
  • Quality Assurance: Analyze and resolve production delays, equipment malfunctions, and quality issues to ensure optimal production and quality standards.
  • Certification: Maintain certification on industrial lift equipment, including pickers, reaches, skates, booms, and scissor lifts.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee and inspect routine maintenance provided by junior engineers, providing guidance and training as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in equipment repair and maintenance, preferably with conveyor, automation, or robotics systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent.
  • Trade Certification: Graduate of an apprenticeship program or hold current trade certification.
  • Technical Skills: Fundamental understanding of machinery and equipment, basic skill level in multiple computer software packages, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily, frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Work Environment: Ability to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week, continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work with your hands above your head.
