Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Services Associate to join our team at Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of our buildings and grounds, including but not limited to:
  • Windows and sills
  • Walls and ceilings
  • Floor surfaces in rooms and hallways
  • Sidewalks and wheelchair ramps
  • General lawn appearance
  • Replenish supplies as needed
Additional Responsibilities
  • Floor Care: Vacuuming, sweeping and wet mopping
  • Clean and Sanitize Daily: All restrooms, lunchroom counter and tables, and water fountains, clinics and trash removal
  • Respond to emergency cleanup
  • Maintain and request supply inventory for custodial supply area through Maintenance Clerk
  • Maintain building security upon entering and leaving as per procedure and schedule
Requirements
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and perform duties to keep facilities and grounds clean, healthy and safe
  • Valid Ohio Driver's License; acceptable annual BMV Check
  • High school diploma, minimum three years paid experience in all areas of building custodial services
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos
  • Ability to write basic correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patrons, constituents, and employees of the organization
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to sit and talk or hear
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
