Position Overview: Rose International is looking for a dedicated Collections Representative to manage the collection of overdue accounts efficiently and professionally, adhering to established collection protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a consistent performance level in collecting debts for assigned accounts, meeting specific targets such as daily call volume and contact rates.
- Conduct outbound and inbound calls based on priority as directed by management.
- Engage with clients to negotiate payment plans, assessing their capacity and willingness to settle debts.
- Accurately relay information to clients while navigating various systems and screens.
- Document all collection activities for each account in compliance with established guidelines, utilizing appropriate codes and notes.
- Communicate collection progress to relevant stakeholders, including branch lenders, as necessary.
- Request updated credit reports or initiate skip tracing as per standard operating procedures.
- Process account extensions following company policy.
- Regularly update the collections supervisor on the status of challenging accounts.
- Ensure all delinquent accounts are thoroughly addressed according to standardized procedures.
- Send necessary correspondence to debtors as required.
- Facilitate customer payments through electronic methods when applicable.
- Handle account maintenance tasks in line with established protocols.
Qualifications:
- Stable employment history.
- 2-3 years of recent experience in collections, preferably in a call center environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Auto, Mortgage, or Credit Card Collections (minimum of 2 years).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as necessary.
