We're seeking a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Database Reliability Engineering team at Braze. Our team operates at a massive scale, handling over 4 billion monthly active users and collecting hundreds of billions of data points each month. We use a diverse technology stack, including Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, and Kubernetes.

As an Engineering Manager at Braze, you'll be responsible for:

  • Building and managing a high-performing team of engineers
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to architect products that utilize our infrastructure platforms in a scalable and reliable manner
  • Ensuring that Braze meets its strict enterprise-grade SLAs with customers
  • Participating in an on-call rotation to command incidents within your product scope

We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE/DBRE management, with a proven track record of people management, strategic planning, and cost optimization. You should have a strong technical background in MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or similar data technologies.
