Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Oversee the preparation of project designs, drafting, and plans.
  • Site Observation: Conduct periodic on-site observation of work during the construction phase to monitor and ensure construction complies with the architectural and engineering plans provided.
  • Design and Documentation: Prepare operating and maintenance manuals, as well as various studies and reports.
  • Team Leadership: Direct activities of other architects, intern architects, and designers responsible for preparing drawings and specification documents.
  • Client Communication: Present directly to the client on technical and design solutions.
  • Project Execution: Work closely with the Practice Leader to execute project plans.
  • Facilities Assessment: Assess existing facilities for deficiencies to correct and describe accurately for cost estimating.
  • Project Administration: Administer a variety of building projects for public and/or private clients.
  • Design and Innovation: Produce innovative, appropriate, cost-effective designs/drawings.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
  • Experience: Over Ten Years of Architectural design and construction experience.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience in Healthcare and/or hospital Projects is required.
  • Certifications: Architectural Registration and NCARB Certification is preferred.
  • Skills: LEED accreditation preferred. Ability to research technical requirements from federal websites. Ability to conduct building inspections of occupied spaces in a healthcare environment. Understanding of MEP building systems in a healthcare environment. Understanding of Life Safety requirements in a healthcare environment. Understanding of Architectural Building Components and Systems in a healthcare environment. Ability to train and mentor staff in a positive manner to allow individuals to grow within the industry and firm. Strong Revit experience.
