Job Title: Athletic Coordinator

Are you passionate about sports and recreation? Do you have a knack for managing programs and events? We're seeking an experienced Athletic Coordinator to join our team at The Sports Facilities Companies.

Job Summary:

The Athletic Coordinator will oversee the setup and organization of our venue's athletic programs, including summer day camp, sports camps, clinics, sports-specific instruction, tournaments, and other programs. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute athletic programs, including camps, clinics, and tournaments
  • Provide direct oversight to program staff and volunteers
  • Hire, train, and develop program staff
  • Coordinate program registration and logistics
  • Assist with managing venue-wide sports surface schedules
  • Develop and implement programming improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with marketing team to support programming efforts
  • Serve as primary point of contact for programming communication
  • Participate in event setup and execution, and attend all scheduled events and meetings
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in sports programming and management
  • Proven success in generating community interest and involvement through sports programming
  • Experience in youth and amateur sports as a consumer
  • Proven experience in customer service and programming administration
  • Action-oriented personality with a 'get it done' attitude
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Will be required to operate a computer
