  • Minimizing errors and inefficiencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing project and program statistics and reports.
  • Calculating productivity metrics for the Engineering and Design Team to optimize profitability.
  • Reviewing and resolving correspondence and sensitive documents.
  • Coordinating communication plans, including newsletters and presentations.
  • Collaborating with state, county, and local agencies, utilities, and governmental authorities to secure approvals for proposed OSP facilities.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • 3-5 years of comprehensive knowledge and experience in OSP Engineering, including underground and aerial design, fiber splice plan development, OTDR and PM/LS testing, OSP materials sourcing, and familiarity with NESC rules and regulations.
  • Experience in team management is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in engaging with executive management.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with QGIS, ARCGIS, IQGEO, SIG, and AUTOCAD.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • A resourceful and flexible approach, with the ability to respond quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and a strong sense of personal motivation and responsibility.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations.
  • Experience working with government agencies and understanding right of way requirements.
  • Familiarity with permit applications and relevant technology and equipment.
  • Good judgment, decision-making abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
