Role Overview:

The Airport Customer Service Representative is tasked with both above and below wing responsibilities, which encompass guest interactions and ramp operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist travelers with their needs (e.g., addressing inquiries, managing baggage, ticketing, checking in passengers, and facilitating boarding) in a fast-paced setting.
  • Work outdoors under varying weather conditions while executing below wing duties (e.g., transporting baggage and cargo, loading and unloading luggage, aircraft marshaling, pushing back aircraft, and de-icing procedures).
  • Conduct aircraft cleaning and security inspections.
  • Perform boarding and gate functions (e.g., assisting and guiding guests, making announcements, processing standby and upgrade requests).
  • Manage and secure passenger luggage, including filing and maintaining claims for damaged, delayed, or lost items.
  • Load and unload luggage and cargo using conveyor systems.
  • As directed by management, may undertake a variety of tasks to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Additional Information:

Schedule: Part-Time / Split Shifts

  • Due to operational needs, specific shifts and days off cannot be guaranteed, and flexibility for holidays and weekends is essential. Part-time employees can anticipate working 15-30 hours weekly, with split shifts to support morning and afternoon flight operations as required.

Required Experience, Education & Skills:

Mandatory:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to learn and utilize a computerized reservation system.
  • Typing proficiency of at least 25 WPM.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to participate in paid training that may involve overnight travel.
  • Depending on the location, ability to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Capability to secure airport security clearance.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • At least one year of experience in customer service or community service.

Airport Security Badge Requirements:

Non-crew employees working at airports or maintenance facilities must obtain and maintain a security badge as mandated by the airport authority.

Compensation: Starting Rate: USD $17.00/Hr.
