Lab Director Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lab Director to lead and manage our laboratory operations in Michigan. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning skills to enhance lab efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage lab staff and operations, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee test procedures and data accuracy, developing and implementing lab policies and procedures as needed.
  • Manage budgeting and resource allocation, driving the development of innovative testing procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of laboratory professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Masters degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Three years of clinical laboratory experience and five years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Trauma Level II experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Leadership skills to effectively direct a group.
  • Written and interpersonal skills to communicate successfully with individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of basic techniques in financial analysis.
