- State License: Candidates must secure a Hawaii nursing license prior to the commencement of their assignment.
- Contract Duration: 13-week contract with a commitment of 36 hours per week following the initial orientation period.
- Shift Flexibility: Nurses will be required to adapt to various shift lengths and schedules.
- Dress Code: Professional nursing attire is expected at all times.
- Orientation: Comprehensive training and orientation will be provided for each unit.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years and up to 10 years of nursing experience is required.
- Floating: Nurses may be assigned to float between Med Surg and Surgical Pediatrics units.
- Unit Capacity: The TCU consists of 24 beds.
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: The ratio is 1 nurse to 8 patients, supported by 1 aide.
- Shift Variability: Shifts will vary and are to be determined.
- Contractual Hours: Scheduled for 36 hours per week post-orientation, with no guaranteed hours or shift preferences.
- Equipment: Familiarity with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes is beneficial.
- Floating Policy: Potential to float to Med Surg and Surgical Pediatrics as needed.
- Orientation: Each unit will provide specific orientation time to ensure readiness.
