Agricultural Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Custom Applicator/CDL Driver to join our team in Rockford, WA.

As a Custom Applicator/CDL Driver, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and crop protection products to fields, managing your time effectively, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment.

You will also be responsible for:

• Creating relationships with local farmers to understand their chemical and fertilizer needs
• Managing your time in the field to apply products safely and efficiently
• Receiving hands-on experience and technical skills by handling various types of machinery and routine equipment maintenance

Responsibilities include:

• Applying fertilizer and crop protection products under general supervision
• Picking up and delivering product to customers as needed
• Working with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Educating customers on products being applied, techniques used, and how to continue supporting them
• Assisting sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met
• Performing warehouse work, including driving a loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance
• Lifting and loading products, 1-2 hours per day
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations

Requirements include:

• 1+ years of experience in agriculture production, operations, and/or agriculture application
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
