Responsibilities
  • Design and execute projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on building electrical systems for different types of buildings, specifically healthcare, sports, labs, and commercial, industrial, and precinct-level infrastructure.
  • Participate in the design development, application, evaluation, recommendation, and specification of engineered systems or products for building and infrastructure electrical systems.
  • Lead a design team through the entire project life cycle, supporting the team in client meetings, collaborating with other disciplines and consultants, coordinating site service and electrical requirements, and performing field reviews.
  • Take ownership for projects from start to finish, meeting project objectives while putting emphasis on sustainable solutions and outcomes.
  • Promote active, continuous learning and improvement within the team, cultivating team members' growth through feedback, coaching, and career development.
  • Support Team Lead to plan projects, optimize resources, managing project timelines, budget, and talented resources.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience designing electrical systems in the building industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in designing direct to REVIT.
  • Australian Qualifications Framework - Bachelor Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma associated with the built environment and ideally working towards CPEng.
  • Good knowledge of construction phase monitoring of completed designs.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong reporting writing skills and strong consulting skills.
  • Good working knowledge of lighting design software, either AGI or Dialux.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerCad or equivalent cable design software.
  • Organised and effective team member, able to work easily with others, manage staff, negotiate, and effectively delegate.
  • Advanced Interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
  • Advanced communication and coaching skills.
