Job Summary
The Licensed Optician at EssilorLuxottica is responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences by performing key steps of our selling model. This role requires a strong commitment to providing unsurpassed customer service, developing optical skills, and creating an effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Convey a commitment to providing exceptional customer service by executing our CEE Service Model through Connect, Explore, and Exceed.
- Support problem-solving and troubleshooting, engaging patients, customers, and fellow associates with technology to enhance experiences.
- Deliver Diamond Service Principles and Service Vision, celebrating LensCrafters' advantages and setting the tone for customer service.
- Anticipate problems, explore underlying reasons, and develop long-term solutions.
- Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses, suggesting improvements and recommending solutions.
- Show patience and courtesy, tracking down answers to unfamiliar questions or products.
- Assist co-workers with questions or problems, cooperating in group efforts.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing a voice for associates due to expertise.
- Educate customers on LensCrafters' guarantees and services, including eyewear care tips and follow-up services.
- Handle tasks such as taking and recording measurements, adjusting or fitting eyewear carefully and correctly.
- Ensure finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
- Celebrate LensCrafters' advantages at dispense.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on LensCrafters' annual CEI/Functional Skills.
- Operate the Point of Sale terminal, inputting customer and prescription information with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Accurately operate the Point of Sale, collecting proper payment and retaining proper change for various transactions.
- Proficient in Order tracker to support customers getting orders RWP (ready when promised).
- Take pride in the appearance of the store and ensure visual displays are in accordance with Company provided planograms.
- Ensure a positive and productive Store Manager/Macys Host relationship that contributes to growing the business and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- State licensure or certification by a nationally-recognized opticianary association as an optician.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise assortment and use of Inventory management systems.
- Strong communicator and listener.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Sales skills – ability to use and carry an IPAD/tablet.
- Comfortable with use of technology to engage patients, customers, and associates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Actively studying LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program.
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
