Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing direct patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. As a RN - Med/Surg, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, using your expertise and knowledge to make informed decisions and provide individualized care to each patient.
Responsibilities
• Perform patient assessments and document in patient records
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care, addressing physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
• Provide safe patient care by performing bedside shift reporting, hourly rounding, and participating in huddle
• Educate patients and families regarding current health status, plan of care, and anticipated outcomes
• Demonstrate service excellence to all customers
• Maintain professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing, and continuing education
• Practice fiscal responsibility and accountability
• Actively participate in hospital committees, CQI teams, and Quality Improvement Program
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Supervise CNAs and CNA IIs
Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• BSN preferred
• Wyoming RN license
• Experience in medical/surgical nursing preferred
• Certifications required (see Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy)
