Job Summary

TransForce Inc. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and diagnosis of major components of various truck and trailer equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy equipment components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Assist in the repair and replacement of major components, including clutches, PTO systems, electric systems, hydraulic/air brake systems, and heating/air conditioning systems
  • Use shop tools and equipment to diagnose and repair issues
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks and meet deadlines

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance
  • Vocational/technical or certification preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of shop tools and equipment
  • A valid driver's license is required; current CDL license with air brake certification preferred
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job
