Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor a team of survey technicians, prioritizing their safety and providing training on surveying techniques and equipment.
  • Conduct thorough research of land and previous survey records to gather necessary data for current projects.
  • Execute various types of surveys, including right-of-way, control profiles, cross sections, and topographic assessments.
  • Perform intricate calculations to establish property boundaries, elevations, and other critical geographical information.
  • Identify and mark property corners, lines, and easements as required.
  • Compile detailed reports outlining surveying activities, findings, and suggestions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure alignment with project specifications and objectives.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and quality standards throughout surveying operations.
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments to guarantee their accuracy and dependability.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Survey Party Chief role or a similar capacity within the engineering field.
  • Proficient in modern surveying tools, GPS technology, and AutoCAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent mathematical aptitude and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and terrains.
  • Valid driver’s license and readiness to travel as necessary.
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification is preferred.
