- Collaborating with various departments to plan maintenance tasks and reduce production interruptions.
- Ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Tracking maintenance expenditures and exploring opportunities to streamline maintenance workflows and minimize costs.
Essential Skills
Technical Expertise: Strong understanding and troubleshooting capabilities for diverse machinery and equipment, including both electrical and mechanical challenges.
Experience with 480VAC three-phase motors, pumps, and variable frequency drives.
Familiarity with low voltage control systems, particularly 24VDC.
Knowledge of PET blow molding processes.
Experience with reciprocating air compressors.
Basic skills in welding and fabrication.
Leadership Abilities: Competence in guiding and inspiring a team of maintenance professionals, effectively assigning tasks, and creating a supportive work atmosphere.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in identifying problems, analyzing root causes, and implementing practical solutions to reduce downtime.
Communication Skills: Effective communication abilities to engage with team members, management, and other departments.
Organizational Skills: Capacity to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively, and coordinate maintenance efforts to align with production goals.
Attention to Detail: Diligence in conducting inspections, documenting maintenance tasks, and ensuring precision in executed work.
Safety Management Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and regulations to uphold a secure work environment for all staff.
Training and Development Experience: Proven track record in mentoring and developing maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and competencies.
Adaptability: Ability to navigate unexpected challenges, shifting priorities, and varying production demands in a fast-paced work setting.
Computer Proficiency: Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, as well as experience with CMMS systems. Knowledge of PLCs is advantageous.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting is required.
