- Oversee the daily operations and supervision of a group of children.
- Adhere to all regulations set forth by Primrose School of Wayne and relevant local, state, or national agencies regarding child health, safety, and care.
- Continuously evaluate each child's developmental needs.
- Execute the approved lesson plans and daily schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to plan parent-teacher conferences and assess student progress.
- Maintain an engaging and well-organized classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and confident decision-making.
- Provide positive reinforcement and set clear expectations for children's behavior.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, workshops, and school events.
- Uphold a professional appearance in line with the Primrose School of Wayne Employee Handbook.
- Assist in additional tasks as determined necessary by the Director or designated personnel.
- Must meet the basic criteria established by the local childcare regulatory agency.
- Prior experience in a teaching or assistant teaching role within a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
- Understanding of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and care of children, including proper lifting of infants.
- For Infant and Preschool Teachers: A two-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
