Our goal is to create a seamless experience for our clients, ensuring timely delivery of supplies and materials required across multiple Distribution Services campuses. To achieve this, we are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our all-star team.

Job Description

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing vendor relationships, initiating purchase orders, and collaborating regularly with the operations team to ensure minimal disruption related to the timely delivery of supplies and materials. The ideal candidate will engage vendors on behalf of ITS, place and track purchase orders as requested, and create and leverage standardized practices to ensure consistency across campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, place, and track purchase orders for a variety of supplies, materials, and equipment supporting multiple clients across a single ITS Distribution Services warehouse campus
  • Conduct weekly supply inventory and utilize inventory for material planning and replenishment
  • Communicate regularly with Operations and Administrative teams, handling purchase requests and assisting with questions related to past purchases
  • Interface with clients, as required, to place potential purchases at their request
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to purchasing and vendor management

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Two + years of procurement experience, preferably in a distribution center setting
  • Excellent organizational skills and problem resolution skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Positive, team-first attitude and strong work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize needs for multiple business groups simultaneously

Compensation

This is a highly competitive position with a comprehensive benefit plan and a matching 401k. The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
