Urology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Urology Hospitalist to join our team at Genesis HealthCare System. As a Urology Hospitalist, you will provide expert care to patients with urological conditions who require inpatient management and consultation services.

• Provide Comprehensive Urological Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urological conditions such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, urinary retention, and genitourinary cancers.
• Conduct Thorough Patient Assessments: Review medical history, perform physical examinations, and interpret diagnostic tests such as imaging studies, urinalysis, and urodynamic tests.
• Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work with hospitalists, nurses, surgeons, and other specialists to coordinate patient care and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform Urological Procedures: Conduct catheter placement, cystoscopy, bladder irrigation, and urinary diversion procedures as needed.
• Provide Timely Consultation Services: Offer expert advice to medical and surgical teams regarding urological issues impacting patient care.
• Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement projects, research studies, and urology-related educational programs within the hospital.

• Medical Degree: Graduation from an accredited medical school.
• Urology Residency: Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
• Board Certification: Board certification or eligibility in urology.
• State Medical License: Possession of a valid state medical license and DEA registration.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience and proficiency in providing urological care in a hospital or acute care setting.
