Job Summary

As a Quality Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the Quality Operations team in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Your proven track record of driving improvements and agility in responding to quality excursions will enable you to set the tone for the team. Your strong collaborative skills will allow you to bring cross-functional teams together to efficiently solve complex problems. Your presence will bring structure to the team and bring out the best performance from each of your direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, mentor, and lead a team of Quality Technicians and Inspectors
  • Provide coaching and training to technicians and inspectors
  • Be accountable for delivering quality improvements, methods, and coaching
  • Delegate responsibilities and manage schedules for a team of quality technicians and inspectors
  • Escalate quality issues with management and engineering as needed and drive improvements in quality operations
  • Support issue resolution, including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking
  • Assist quality technicians and inspectors with in-line decision making and management of material disposition
  • Enforce 5S and workplace hygiene standards
Requirements
  • Must understand general manufacturing processes, Quality methodologies, and team leadership
  • Must be adaptable in work schedule (including compressed work week and night shift) and the working environment
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information
  • Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 10+ hours per day, wear air purifying respirator as needed for specific tasks, Lift at least 10-20 lbs. on a regular basis, perform repetitive hand and wrist motions and sometimes may have to twist and bend body, Ability to climb ladders/stairs, Work in a loud environment. Must be able to discern audible alarms, must be able to distinguish colors and possess accurate depth perception. Must wear all required PPE associated with required tasks
  • Applicable documented Training and/or Certifications a plus
  • Strong aptitude with electronic and mechanic test and measurements systems and proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to use technological tools and business system applications to manage, synthesize, and interpret data
