Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is mandatory.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations is essential.
- Experience in inventory management and familiarity with medical and surgical supplies is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives, organizes, and distributes clean linen efficiently.
- Monitors inventory levels, including verifying counts from external laundry services, assessing wear and tear, and suggesting replacements or repairs as necessary.
- Ensures supply items are maintained at designated par levels.
- Documents all linen items delivered to various departments, tracking daily poundage and reporting totals to the materials manager.
- Tags chargeable supplies for patients, ensuring accurate matching of tags and items.
- Regularly inspects supplies for expiration dates and notifies the Purchasing department of any outdated items.
- Organizes and distributes requested supplies to hospital and clinic departments.
- Maintains appropriate stock levels in various departmental supply rooms according to established standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
