Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at Weill Cornell Medicine. As an experienced healthcare professional, you will provide outpatient care in Obstetrics and Gynecology at our Brooklyn and Tribeca locations. You will work collaboratively with attending physicians to coordinate patient care, develop nursing care plans, and educate patients on their treatment options.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care on an inpatient and outpatient service
- Establish priorities for nursing care through patient assessment and develop nursing care plans
- Prepare equipment and assist providers during examination, testing, and treatment of patients as needed
- Coordinate multidisciplinary health care services and arrange diagnostic tests as ordered by physicians
- Perform inpatient diagnostic testing, therapeutic, and interventional procedures in conjunction with physicians
- Triages patient inquiries and communicates test results
- Administers injections and medications as ordered by medical providers in compliance with state law and clinic guidelines
- Records medical information within patients' electronic medical records as appropriate
- May be required to reach out to referring physicians and promote new referrals
- Participates in safety programs and orientation of new staff

Requirements
- Master's of Science Degree in Nursing
- Approximately 2 or more years of clinical experience as an NP in a physician practice or hospital setting, preferably within a related specialty
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Team-oriented individual that works collaboratively to achieve team goals

Licenses and Certifications
- NYS Registered Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and current NP registration
- NYS Registered Professional Nurse license and current RN registration
- Applicable National Board Certification (such as ANCC, PNCB, etc)
- Current BLS (must be issued by American Heart Association)
- Infection Control Certificate
- Current Narcotics DEA registration certificate

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $145,800.00 - $156,600.00 per year.
