Overview of Duties The Mechanical Rig Technician plays a crucial role in the assessment, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This position requires leveraging a comprehensive technical background to maintain and support various components of Noble Casing Inc. equipment. Technicians are expected to uphold the company's reputation through professional conduct and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Employ technical documentation to troubleshoot and source parts for a variety of drilling rig systems.
- Provide training to rig personnel on maintenance practices, technical knowledge, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct maintenance and servicing of drilling rig components, including but not limited to Drawworks, Mud Pumps, Iron Roughnecks, Pipe Handling systems, and Engines (Caterpillar and Detroit).
- Maintain and document the condition of all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems with minimal oversight.
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of vehicles to comply with regulatory standards.
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is required.
- Completion of Noble Casing Inc.'s specialized training and orientation is mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License is essential.
- Typical Shift: 12-hour workdays.
Travel to various rig or site locations as necessary.
