Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of nursing care provided preoperatively and postoperatively until patient discharge.

Your key duties will include:

  • Preparing the care area for patients prior to procedures.
  • Ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Conducting thorough physical and psychological assessments of patients.
  • Administering pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed.
  • Exhibiting proper techniques for IV catheter insertion, maintenance, and removal.
  • Monitoring dressings and operative sites, reporting any abnormalities.
  • Confirming that patients meet discharge criteria.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you will need:

  • An Associate Degree in Nursing or a higher nursing qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical environment, preferably in PACU, ICU, or surgical settings.
  • An active RN license as required by state regulations.
  • BCLS certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).
  • ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and PALS if required by the facility.
