The role of a Cloud-Based Solutions Architect is critical in ensuring that our customers can deploy the best, most scalable, and most performant architectures possible. As an experienced Solutions Architect with Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will work closely with engineering, business development, and technical field teams to drive the adoption of AWS EC2 Neuron-based instances.

The AWS EC2 Performance team was created to make sure customers can deploy the best, most scalable, and most performant architectures possible. This team plays an important role as an advocate with our service teams to ensure we are building the right products for our customers.
About the Job:
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for supporting customers as they build on our Neuron hardware, Trainium, and Inferentia. As a Neuron Performance Solution Architect (SA), you will work with customers globally to develop white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to understand and leverage the value of EC2. You will also help drive enablement initiatives to continually develop the best technical field teams in the industry.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain deep knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, S3, and DynamoDB. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet customer needs. Work with customers to identify and address performance issues, providing recommendations and guidance on how to optimize their applications. Develop and deliver training programs to ensure customers have the necessary skills to take full advantage of AWS services. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud computing, AI, and machine learning, applying this knowledge to improve customer outcomes.
Requirements:
7+ years of experience designing and implementing distributed applications. 5+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting performance metrics and logs. 3+ years of experience with large datasets, data processing, and cleaning, including handling encoding issues and transforming raw data into suitable formats for Large Language Models (LLMs). 3+ years of experience with LLMs, including training, and prompt engineering or equivalent. Experience presenting to senior leadership within a customer or partner organization. Familiarity with common enterprise services and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers. Proficiency with writing and debugging applications developed in Python, TensorFlow, or JAX, and understanding networking concepts and protocols. Technical leadership skills, including the ability to understand the customer IT landscape, identify opportunities, and overcome technical obstacles. AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.
