Job Title: Class A CDL Delivery Driver

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team at Performance Foodservice. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks on tractor/truck and trailer, and report any safety issues or repairs required.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Load and unload products from trailers, and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required, and load customer returns onto trailers.
  • Perform daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.

Requirements:
  • 12+ months commercial driving experience
  • High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent
  • Valid CDL A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
