CMM Programmer

Crown Staffing - Chicago North is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to join their team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing precise technical drawings and machining instructions to ensure the accurate and efficient production of products.

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $26.00 - $30.00 per hour, plus overtime when needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining processes and principles, including CNC programming and toolpath optimization.

• Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D designs for steel stamp engravings, cookie, cracker, and snack food dies according to customer specifications.
• Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate tool paths for machining operations.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to CAD/CAM software or CNC machines.
• Stay updated on advancements in CAD/CAM technology and incorporate best practices into daily workflow.

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) with demonstrated experience in creating complex 2D and 3D models.
• Strong understanding of machining processes and principles, including CNC programming and toolpath optimization.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality designs.
• Prior experience in the tool and die industry or related manufacturing field is preferred.
• Associate degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Design, or a related field is a plus.
