Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician for a travel job in a reputable medical facility in Midland, Michigan.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures utilizing accurate application of ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Position patients and equipment appropriately to accurately demonstrate the area being examined, requiring extensive anatomic positioning skills.
  • Provide appropriate radiation protection for patients and staff during radiation exposures according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Adjust technical factors to provide appropriate exposure by use of independent judgment, knowledge of human anatomy, effect of disease on the radiograph, and principles of radiation as well as the specific operation of all radiologic equipment within the department.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist radiologists as needed in performance of sterile procedures, i.e., biopsies, myelograms, etc.
  • Perform surgical and portable radiographic procedures as assigned.
  • Perform nursing procedures, including the preparation and administration of various forms of radiologic contrast media and medications, and catheterizations.
  • Has knowledge to readily identify and treat allergic reactions to contrast media.
  • Practices sterile technique.
  • Maintains professional acumen through active association with professional organizations.
  • Shows evidence of continuing education in radiography as necessary to remain current with profession.
  • Attends in-service educational programs and departmental meetings.
  • Initiates requisitions, adds or modifies charges, acknowledges exams, requiring the use of the computer.
  • Ability to recognize and report malfunction of radiographic equipment appropriately.

Submission Requirements:

  • 1+ Years of X-ray Experience - Required
  • Surgery Experience - Required & Notated on Profile
  • ARRT & BLS (AHA) - Required
  • Profile Requirements: Work History, Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to specialty, 2 Supervisory References, from the past 12 months of employment, License/Certifications (ARRT & BLS(AHA) - Facility will not pend license/certs)
  • Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50 mile radius restriction)

Certification Requirements:

  • ARRT
  • BLS (AHA)

About the Facility:

Located on 225 acres of wooded campus in Midland, Michigan, the 324-bed Medical Center offers a broad range of primary care and specialty care services, as well as 24-hour emergency care and Level II trauma care.

Facility Specific Requirement: Cannot accept local candidates that live within 50 miles of the facility.

This client has a rebate of 2% of all billings related to this assignment; passthrough expenses are not subject to any rebates. Please see section 14.6.1 of SSP Master Agreement for details.
