Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Engineer II to join our team in the Chemical industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying property hazards and delivering practical solutions to minimize or eliminate risks. Your expertise in process safety practices, safety devices, and sprinkler protection will be invaluable in helping our clients make informed decisions about their risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments at client facilities to identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions to address their risk management concerns.
  • Apply FM's Property Loss Prevention Data Sheets and company operating procedures to ensure consistent risk assessment and mitigation guidance.
  • Prepare technical engineering reports and communicate key risks and priorities to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop long-lasting relationships with clients and act as a trusted advisor and consultant within your field.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (varies engineering disciplines considered); a chemical engineering background is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in heavy industry, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on understanding of various chemical and mechanical production processes and support systems.
  • Experience in process safety practices and safety devices.
  • Familiarity with sprinkler protection is a plus.
