Role Summary: The Nurse Supervisor plays a crucial role in applying management principles and nursing philosophies to guarantee high-quality patient care. This position entails administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient hospital operations. The Nurse Supervisor utilizes the nursing process to maintain continuity and quality of care for specific patient demographics, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The role requires a deep understanding of patient care tailored to the age group served.
Qualifications:
Education: A foundational knowledge of nursing is essential. A Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or psychology is preferred. Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
Experience: A minimum of five years in a Staff Nurse role, including experience as a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nursing Manager, is preferred to develop the necessary skills and knowledge.
Licensure: A current Registered Nurse (R.N.) license in New York State is mandatory.
Work Environment: This is a full-time position with standard hours of 36.00 per week. The work schedule includes night shifts of 12 hours, with alternating weekends and rotating holidays.
