ICU Department Manager

The Cookeville Regional Medical Center seeks a highly skilled and experienced ICU Department Manager to oversee the nursing care of CVICU and ICU patients. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of nursing staff in the CVICU and ICU departments.
- Assist the nursing director with staff development and evaluation, ensuring that all staff members have the necessary skills and training to provide excellent patient care.
- Collaborate with the nursing director to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and staff satisfaction.
- Coordinate the ordering and management of supplies and equipment to ensure that the departments have the necessary resources to provide high-quality patient care.
- Provide patient care as required and take an active role in workload management.
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- State RN License required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an emergency room setting, with a minimum of 2 years of management experience preferred.
- Past Charge RN experience preferred.
- Ability to perform Emergency Services Nursing Skills.
- Ability to coordinate staffing and patient census in a multidisciplinary department.
