Job Summary

Ferrellgas, a leading propane delivery company, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Propane Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a Driver Trainee, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the propane delivery industry, working closely with experienced drivers and learning the ins and outs of our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Attend courses required to obtain a CDL license and/or required endorsements/certifications or licenses from the Authority Having Jurisdiction as required by state law.
  • Operate a vehicle in a safe manner that remains in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations along with company guidelines.
  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist drivers in loading, unloading, and transporting hazardous materials to various customer locations.
  • Prepare and maintain records in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and company procedures.
  • Work towards meeting all DOT requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A willingness to obtain a valid Class A CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.
  • Ability to pass the CDL exam and background check process, MVR, company background check, drug screen, and physical abilities test.
