Job Summary

Bowhead is seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to support the Marine Forces Cyber Command Special Security Office (SSO) support contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide access and visitor support for all visiting personnel, verifying clearance levels and assisting with escorting visitors without clearances within accredited secure spaces.
  • Issue appropriate badges to all visitors entering the building and maintain a daily log documenting visitors' names, points of contact, date and time of arrival/departure, employer, and visitor badge number assigned.
  • Conduct security indoctrinations into sensitive and classified programs, schedule polygraphs for personnel, review and submit security clearance background investigations, schedule fingerprint appointments, prepare foreign born waiver packages for personnel with foreign relationships requiring a TS/SCI clearance, report potential and confirmed security violations, infractions, and incident reports to appropriate Government personnel, and other security tasks as needed.
  • Perform walkthroughs, inspections, and provide written findings of inspections to the Government Special Security Officer.
  • Assist in opening and closing, sanitizing spaces, and performing combination changes for various secure locks for safes.
  • Conduct Random Anti-Terrorism Measures (RAMs) daily.
  • Program all badges within 48 hours and verify security clearance in DISS.
  • Conduct de-briefs when personnel detach from the command.
  • Prepare monthly reports to identify and summarize personnel and actions who were involved in these processes.
Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age and able to work in a secure environment as a front-line security professional.
  • Possess a working knowledge of state-of-the-art intrusion detection systems (IDS), as well as commonly used General Services Administration approved devices, safes and other storage containers, locks and locking systems, and personnel entry control systems.
  • Possess a working knowledge of DISS, and Scattered Castles.
  • The candidate will have professional customer services skills, be knowledgeable with Microsoft products, and the ability to speak clearly and provide accurate information to command staff, military personnel, and visitors.
  • The candidate must have a High School diploma or GED and be fluent in English.
  • Must currently hold a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) or continuous evaluation (CE) enrollment within expiration of five (5) years and Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph within expiration of six (6) years.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
