The City of Everett Fire Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Firefighters. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for performing emergency and non-emergency tasks in the areas of fire suppression, hazardous materials, technical rescue, water rescue, fire prevention, emergency or disaster preparedness, and responding to emergency medical calls.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency calls and perform firefighting duties
- Operate fire apparatus and equipment
- Participate in fire prevention and education programs
- Perform technical rescue and water rescue operations
- Provide emergency medical services
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Age 21 or older
- U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent resident
- Excellent physical condition
- Ability to obtain Washington State Department of Social and Health Services certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Submission to a thorough background check and psychological evaluation

How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit their applications through Public Safety Testing. The examination process includes a written test and a Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). Successful candidates will be invited to an oral panel evaluation.
