The City of Everett Fire Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Firefighters. As a Firefighter, you will be responsible for performing emergency and non-emergency tasks in the areas of fire suppression, hazardous materials, technical rescue, water rescue, fire prevention, emergency or disaster preparedness, and responding to emergency medical calls.

• Respond to emergency calls and perform firefighting duties
• Operate fire apparatus and equipment
• Participate in fire prevention and education programs
• Perform technical rescue and water rescue operations
• Provide emergency medical services

• High school diploma or equivalency
• Age 21 or older
• U.S. Citizenship or lawful permanent resident
• Excellent physical condition
• Ability to obtain Washington State Department of Social and Health Services certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
• Submission to a thorough background check and psychological evaluation
