Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team as a Contract Casual AHN EMS Mt Pleasant Position. As a Paramedic, you will provide emergency medical care to patients in the prehospital environment, effectively communicating with all persons and departments involved in the administration of Emergency Medical Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emergency Medical Care: Provides emergency medical care to patients in the prehospital environment, including basic and advanced life support.
  • Communication: Effectively communicates with all persons and departments involved in the administration of Emergency Medical Care.
  • Documentation: Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintains equipment and inventory of supplies, including BLS and ALS, and has accountability for medications on every EMS unit per regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5 years' relevant experience and current preceptor status for Prehospital Response Unit.
  • Certifications: PA certification as Paramedic or licensed PHRN, valid Driver's License, EMSVO within 30 days of hire, ACLS within 30 days of hire, ITLS/PHTLS within 2 months of hire, PALS within 30 days of hire, and CPR – American Heart Association.
  • Certifications: Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate, Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate, and Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic Vehicle Rescue Awareness, Haz-Mat Technician, ICS 100, 200, and IS 700, 800, ABLS, and ASLS.
  • Experience: One year experience (AHN EMS).
